Who We Are

At Mosaic, we believe that taking an intersectional approach begins in our everyday being. By using storytelling as a means of connection, we invite people in to share the importance of anti-racism, intersectionality, diversity, and inclusion. We believe that these aren't just buzzwords but a way of life. We personally live and breathe this in all our conversations and our actions.

We believe that through story sharing, we can contribute towards meaningful change and create healthy thriving organisations that utilise the growth mindset.

Our unique approach centres and utilises the wealth of knowledge that can only come with lived experiences.

We don't want equality. We want equity and liberation.

If you believe we are the right fit for your business, please connect with us.

We look forward to working with you!

Meet the (small but mighty) team

Chandni Kantaria

Chandni is a settler migrant, hailing from Kenya. She has worked as a paramedic for more than a decade, collected a number of degrees, presented at conferences and is in the beautiful chaos of raising 3 beautiful humans. Speaking 3 languages, makes Chandni sure that speaking only English isn’t a superpower.

Chandni loves learning, and hopes that she can pass that passion onto others. Recently beginning a Narrative Therapy masters has led her to consider the strength stories that people have, and also how the dominant discourses shape perceptions of themselves. Chandni challenges social constructs and hopes that she can teach anti-racism and the importance of inclusive leadership - particularly in healthcare.

Known for a encouraging and inquisitive teaching style, Chandni believes learning happens in the WHELM - when the learner is feeling challenged and supported. Storytelling is the perfect means for this, and allows for space, grace and growth.

Carissa Frew

Carissa is also a settler migrant, hailing from a small town in New Zealand called Kawakawa. She has experience in emergency medical dispatch, leadership and program management. She is also the mum of 4 excellent humans.

Carissa believes in the power of inclusion and strives to ensure that people feel valued whatever phase of life they are in.

Being a bystander and taking a stand against domestic and family violence is of high importance to Carissa, and as such she facilitates a bystander course that speaks to the casualisation of rigid gender stereotypes and violent tropes.

Known for her curious and generous questioning of ideas, Carissa allows people the time to reflect on potential harms perpetrated by language.

Every decision we make is shaped by a clear sense of purpose.

What began as a passion project has evolved into something more. We’re proud of where we’ve been and even more excited for what’s ahead.

We wanted to create a space where we can truly live and breathe inclusion. Our goal is to ensure that we give people the opportunity to share as much or as little as they want to.

We want to ensure that all historically excluded groups are given the best chance at success and we make sure that we can address systemic barriers in all fields and organisation.

First Nations folks have been using storytelling as truth telling for centuries, and we hope to harness this powerful technique to challenge the status quo, and help organisations see that inclusion and equity aren’t just buzz words.

We address structures such as the patriarchy, colonisation, race, gender, class, ableism and violence in our work and we hope we can influence people to critically reflect and challenge the status quo.

Inequity is created due to social constructs, and encouraging division due to insignificant reasons is breaking social cohesion. We need community and conversations about these challenging topics in order to thrive as a global society.

What sets us apart isn’t just our process—it’s the intention behind it. We take time to understand, explore, and create with purpose at every turn.

As well as the courses we provide online, we offer face to face consultations for groups, organisations, teams and schools. Our programs are tailored to your needs and we work with you to create a program that is fit for purpose.

Culture eats policy papers for breakfast and we are here to challenge the culture in a genuine, safe and impactful way.

We aren’t the leaders that you want, we are the leaders that you need.
