It's ok to not be ok in the middle of a genocide. But please speak up.

Ok, so I get that this is hard to talk about.
Maybe you can't watch the videos because it'll push you into a depth of despair.
Maybe it's too much on top of everything.
Maybe you're having the conversations outside of social media.

I think the problem is that there is so much in this space that is a double standard and watching you do everything EXCEPT for talking about Palestine is the problem. It's the intentionality of avoiding this and addressing other, less relevant things.

You cannot support and attend functions for international women's day If you don't care about Palestine.
You cannot care about fairness and equity if you don't care about Palestine.
You cannot talk about the climate crisis, if you don't care about Palestine.
You cannot talk about our taxes being wasted without talking about Palestine.
You cannot talk about parenting gently without talking about Palestine.
You cannot use the word starving flippantly, without talking about Palestine.
You cannot say all lives matter and then not talk about Palestine.
You cannot speak about human rights without talking about Palestine.
You cannot talk about birthing rights and birth trauma without talking about Palestine.
You cannot talk about self care without talking about Palestine.
You cannot talk about grief without talking about Palestine.
You cannot say I agree with the protests but.... (insert inane reason here)

We are all broken.
It's ok not to be ok.
It seems like nobody should be ok.
We are watching a genocide and if that's not enough to wake you up, I'm not really sure that you want to wake up.
It seems like you think this couldn't happen to you, but it very easily could.
You could become "collateral damage"
Richness has nothing to do with money and from here on out, my relationships and friendships will only be with people who have supported Palestine in one way or another.
